Description
26 High Street Superior is a three-storey building with a painted roughcast facade. It features two bays on the High Street side and five bays on the Castle Street side, including a curved corner bay. The roof is covered with slate and has a modillion eaves cornice. The building is adorned with giant stucco Ionic pilasters. On the second floor, there are square 8-pane sash windows, while the first floor has twelve-pane sash windows with moulded architraves. The corner bay includes a small bowed sash window on the second floor and a blind window on the first floor. On the Castle Street elevation, the first window on the first floor is also blind. The High Street front has an altered 20th-century shopfront. In Castle Street, there is a blind 19th-century shop window with end pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice on volutes, along with a blind window in the third ground floor bay.
