20, New Hall, Longmoor Lane

No 20 New Hall on Longmoor Lane is a house built between 1887 and 1889 as part of a cottage homes complex designed by Charles Lancaster. The building is constructed of common brick, featuring red brick and stone dressings, and has a slate roof. It stands two stories high and has five bays, with two bays at each end that project under gables adorned with decorative barge boards. There are flush brick sill bands and impost courses that extend over the segmental heads of the windows, which are sashed and have flush brick quoins. The entrance features a half-glazed doorcase and door. The gables include brick bands and cartouches, while the long plain return walls are also fitted with sashes.
