Description
This is a house, part of a complex of cottage homes, built between 1887 and 1889. It was designed by Charles Lancaster. The house is constructed of common brick with red brick and stone dressings, and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with five bays, and the two bays at each end project under gables featuring decorative barge boards. It has flush brick sill bands and impost courses above the segmental heads of the windows, which incorporate flush brick quoins and sash windows. The front entrance has a half-glazed doorcase. The gables feature brick bands and cartouches. The long, plain return walls have sash windows.
