5, New Hall, Longmoor Lane

No. 5 New Hall on Longmoor Lane is a house that is part of a cottage homes complex built between 1887 and 1889 by Charles Lancaster. The building is constructed of common brick with red brick and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. It has two storeys and features five bays, with two bays at each end that project under gables adorned with decorative barge boards. The façade includes flush brick and sill bands, as well as impost courses above the segmental heads of the windows, which have flush brick quoins and are sashed. The entrance features a half-glazed doorcase and door. The gables are decorated with brick bands and cartouches, and the long plain return walls have sash windows.
