Description

This is a house, constructed as part of a cottage homes complex between 1887 and 1889. It was designed by Charles Lancaster. The building is primarily common brick with red brick and stone detailing, and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high and comprises five bays, with two bays at each end projecting under gables that feature decorative barge boards. Flush brick bands serve as sill details and impost courses are positioned over the segmental heads of the windows, which have flush brick quoins and sash windows. The entrance features a half-glazed doorcase with a door. The gables incorporate brick bands and cartouches. The long, plain return walls are also fitted with sash windows.
