9, New Hall, Longmoor Lane

No. 9 New Hall on Longmoor Lane is a house built between 1887 and 1889 as part of a cottage homes complex designed by Charles Lancaster. The building is constructed of common brick with red brick and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. It stands two stories high and features five bays, with two bays at each end projecting under gables that have decorative barge boards. The facade includes flush brick sill bands and impost courses that extend over the segmental heads of the windows, which have flush brick quoins and are fitted with sash windows. The entrance features a half-glazed doorcase and door. The gables are adorned with brick bands and cartouches, while the long plain return walls have additional sash windows.
