Description
The Superintendent's Office and Laundry Block at New Hall on Longmoor Lane was built between 1887 and 1889 by Charles Lancaster. It is constructed of common brick, featuring red brick and stone dressings, and has a slate roof with tile cresting. The building is single-storey and consists of two bays with a rear range. It has flush sill and lintel bands. The first bay includes a gable with decorative diapering and a canted bay window topped with a hipped slate roof. To the left, there is a porch with an entrance framed by quoins. The second bay has a 20th-century front. The rear range features a glazed clerestory gable with a lunette and a chimney at the back.
