12, New Hall, Longmoor Lane

This is a house, built as part of a cottage homes complex between 1887 and 1889. It was designed by Charles Lancaster. The house is constructed of common brick with red brick and stone dressings, and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high and arranged with five bays, with two bays at each end projecting under gabled roofs that feature decorative barge boards. Horizontal bands of brick mark the sill level and impost courses over the segmental-headed windows, which have flush brick quoins and sash windows. The front entrance has a half-glazed doorcase leading to the door. The gables include brick bands and cartouches. The long, plain return walls also have sash windows.
