Description

No 7 New Hall is a house that is part of a cottage homes complex built between 1887 and 1889 by Charles Lancaster. The building is constructed of common brick with red brick and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. It has two storeys and features five bays, with two bays at each end that project under gables adorned with decorative barge boards. There are flush brick sill bands and impost courses that extend over the segmental heads of the windows, which have flush brick quoins and are sashed. The entrance includes a half-glazed doorcase and door. The gables are decorated with brick bands and cartouches, while the long plain return walls are fitted with sashes.
