Description

This is a 19th-century canal milestone located approximately 650 metres north of Rimmer's Bridge on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape. The left-hand plate is inscribed with 'L'POOL 16 MILES', while the right-hand plate reads 'LEEDS 111 1/4 MILES'.
