Description

The gateway to Stubbylee Park, likely built in the late 19th century, features rock-faced sandstone walls and ashlar piers. It has octagonal outer piers with moulded caps that are connected by curved embattled walls to larger octagonal gate piers. These larger piers have embattled tops resembling chess pieces and are topped with tapering crocketed finials. The gateway is completed with heavy cast iron gates.
