Description

The gate arch to the garden of Rockcliffe House, likely built around 1890, is part of the boundary wall made of rock-faced sandstone with ashlar dressings. The boundary wall stands approximately 2 metres high and features a heavily rope-patterned coping that rises in three ramps to a square pedestal topped with a ball finial. The gateway below has a segmental head and is surrounded by rusticated detailing with a figured keystone. An ornamental wrought iron gate is present but shows slight damage.
