Description
Rockcliffe Wood is a farmhouse dated 1752, now used as a house. It is built of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a slate roof that has one chimney on the ridge and another at the right gable. The building has three bays and a projecting porch located at the junction of the second and third bays. It is two storeys high, with a two-storey gabled porch that includes gable copings and kneelers. The porch has a plain doorway, a 2-light casement window above, and a datestone inscribed with "H T B 1752" in the apex. To the left, there is a plain doorway at the left end, a 3-light mullioned window in the first bay, and a modern casement window above. The second bay on the right features a large 3-light mullioned window on each floor.
