Description
This barn, dated 1687 as indicated by a plaque above the main entrance, is located south-west of Hydes Farmhouse. It is constructed of limestone rubble with red sandstone dressings and features a slate roof. The north-west wall includes a wide entrance with long and short jambs and a chamfered triangular head. To the right of this entrance is a chamfered door surround also with a triangular head. The left-hand gable has two chamfered doors that have been blocked to create windows, with the right-hand window featuring a triangular head. Additionally, there is a later door on the left with a plain stone surround, and an owl hole with a chamfered surround.
