Description

Schoolhouse Cottage is a house that features architectural details similar to the adjoining school, which is dated 1842, suggesting it may have been converted from an earlier building. The structure is made of limestone rubble with sandstone dressings and has a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are framed with chamfered stone surrounds, hoods, and diagonal iron glazing bars. The right-hand windows are both two-light windows with a mullion, while the left-hand first-floor window is a single-light window. The door, located in the left-hand bay, also has a chamfered stone surround with a hood. A chimney is situated to the right of the building.
