Blackwood End Farmhouse (Southern Farm)

Blackwood End Farmhouse, also known as Southern Farm, is a house dating from the late 17th century and 1727, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys with an attic. The main part of the facade, located on the left, consists of two bays and includes sashed windows with plain stone surrounds. Between the bays, there is a door with a cyma-moulded surround and a lintel inscribed with 'ERR 1727'. To the right, there is a window with a plain stone surround and a central square mullion. To the left of this window, a section of the original drip course remains visible. On the first floor, there is a four-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window. The house features chimneys on the gables and to the right of the second bay. The right-hand return wall has a one-light attic window.
