Description
Brooks Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a roof made of stone slate and slate. The building has two storeys with an attic. The left side of the northeast wall is covered by a later single-storey lean-to. To the right of this lean-to is a three-light window with rebated and chamfered mullions, although the middle light has been blocked. Above this window, at a higher level, is another rebated and chamfered surround that likely once lit a staircase. Under the eaves, there is a blocked three-light flush chamfered mullioned window. To the right, both floors have a blocked window surround, and at the far right, there is a blocked single-light fire window. The gables are topped with copings and feature chimneys with diagonal shafts. The interior has been altered but still includes some exposed chamfered ceiling beams.
