Description
This milestone is located on the western bank of the Lancaster Canal, approximately 300 metres south of Moss Bridge. The canal was opened in 1819. The milestone is made of roughly punched sandstone and has a rectangular shape with a rounded top. The southern face features the number '14' incised within a sunken oval, while the northern face displays the number '13' in a similar style.
