Description
20 and 22 Knowl Syke Street are two houses built around 1800. They are constructed from watershot stone and have a 20th-century concrete tile roof. Each house has a layout that is two rooms deep and one room wide, with three storeys. The doors, located to the right, feature square-cut monolithic jambs and lintels. The flat-faced mullion windows originally had two lights on the ground floor, seven lights on the first floor, and six and seven lights on the second floor; however, some mullions have been removed and two lights have been blocked. The gable shows evidence of a former door opening but has mostly been rebuilt.
