Description

Two houses, dating from around 1800, are located on Broad Lane in Rochdale. They are constructed of watershot stone and have a stone slate roof. Each house is one room wide and two rooms deep, with the main door positioned on the left at number 75 and on the right at number 77. The houses are three storeys high. Originally, the windows were mullioned, but these have now been replaced with sash windows on the ground floor. The 19th century stone door surrounds feature an overlight and cornices. The windows on the first and second floors were formerly six-light windows with flat-faced mullions; however, in each case, two of the lights have been blocked in.
