Description
14 and 16 Sandy Lane are two houses built in the late 18th century, possibly earlier. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The buildings have a double-depth plan with a total of two bays and three storeys, along with lean-to extensions on the left and rear sides. The door for No. 14 is located on the left and has a dressed surround, with an inserted door situated between two and three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows. The first floor includes similar two and four-light windows. The second floor, which is a later addition, has three and four-light flat-faced mullion windows at both the front and rear. There are gable chimney stacks and two-light gable windows.
