Description

SADDLEWORTH CHURCH FIELDS SD 9906 Dobcross 9/40 No. 4 - G.V. II House. Mid C18. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with graduated stone slate roof. 3-bay 2-storey plan. Door to right with chamfered surround. Quoins. C19 ground floor window and 2-light double-chamfered cavetto-moulded first floor mullion window. Gable chimney stacks. The principal elevation is the rear which has an inserted square-cut door surround to right, 9 and 2-light ground floor windows (the former with 2 blocked lights) and 2, 4 and 3-light first floor windows. All have double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullions except for one which has recessed flat-faced mullions.
