Description

Higher Croft consists of two houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from watershot stone and feature a slate roof with brick chimney stacks. The houses are designed as double-depth, L-shaped structures with three storeys and entrances located in each gable. For No. 2, the entrance is accessed through a 20th-century two-storey addition. Each house has a five-light recessed flat-faced mullion window on every floor. The gable chimney stacks are prominent, and the left gable entrance is obscured by a timber porch, which has three two-light windows similar to those on the other elevations, although one window has had its mullion removed.
