Description

14, 16, and 18 John Street are three houses built in the late 18th century, with Nos. 14 and 16 dated 1788 and No. 18 dated 1796. They are constructed from watershot stone and topped with a slate roof. Each house is double-depth and three stories tall, with a single bay width. There is a two-story 20th-century garage extension that is recessed to the left of No. 18. Each house features a square-cut stone door surround on the left and a five-light recessed flat-faced mullion window on each floor. The buildings have three ridge chimney stacks, two of which are rendered.
