Description
No. 25 is a house located on Huddersfield Road in Diggle, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a symmetrical facade with one bay and two storeys. On the ground floor, there is a five-light recessed cavetto-moulded mullion window, while the first floor has a three-light window of the same style. A gable chimney stack has been rebuilt in brick. The entrance is located in the gable and has a dressed stone surround, with a 20th-century window inserted to the right. There are also two 20th-century two-light windows on the first floor and additional 20th-century two-light windows at the rear. The eaves of the house have been raised at some point in its history.
