Description
No. 4 New Tame is a house located on Tame Lane in Saddleworth, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The house has a double-depth layout with two bays and a former workshop on the first floor. There is a 20th-century porch and a 20th-century garage to the right. The entrance has a chamfered dressed door surround, flanked by two and four-light windows, and a ten-light workshop window on the first floor, all with recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The rear of the house features similar three and twelve-light windows. Gable chimney stacks are present, along with two-light windows in the gables.
