Description

The rick shelter, dating from the late 19th century, is constructed of cast iron. It features four cylindrical columns that stand vertically at each corner, each topped with a pulley and a ball finial, although two of the finials are missing. Timber and wrought-iron members connect the columns at the top. The design allows the roof to be raised and lowered to the desired height, providing protection for winter fodder or rick.
