Description
Golburn Cottage is a house from the 1790s, constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and topped with a slate roof. It features a single-depth plan with one bay and three storeys, along with a slightly later two-bay barn addition on the right that has been converted for domestic use. The building has quoins and a five-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window on each floor. There is a gable chimney stack with an oversailing course, and a total of five two-light windows on the gable, along with a gable entrance that has a dressed surround. The rear of the house, which is built into the hillside, includes two three-light windows. The barn addition on the right has 20th-century window openings.
