Description
Heightsfield is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone with a slate roof. The building features two bays and two storeys, with a 20th-century garage to the left and a former barn wing at the rear. A 19th-century porch has a round-headed door opening with a shaped keystone, and there are similar window openings in the side walls, along with decorative bargeboards. The ground floor has 4-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows on either side, while the first floor features two 8-light windows of the same style. There are gable and ridge chimney stacks, and the door on the right gable has a square-cut surround. The gable and rear also have mullioned windows, some of which are blocked. The barn wing has an outshut roof, and its arched barn door has been blocked.
