Description

A series of 11 stone tenter posts, built in 1840, are located between Heights Farmhouse and Greaves Farmhouse. These posts were erected for Robert Greaves, a flannel manufacturer. Made of stone, the posts stand approximately 2 meters high and are positioned in a straight line at intervals of 2 to 5 meters. The southern sides of the posts feature square projections. They were used in the drying and stretching of woollen cloth.
