Description
Sett Stones Farmhouse is a mid-18th century house that has been divided into two residences. It is constructed from squared rubble with an addition made of hammer-dressed watershot stone, topped with slate and 20th-century tile roofs. The building has a two-bay, single-depth plan with two storeys and a basement, along with a later additional bay on the left and a lean-to extension on the right. The corners feature quoins, and the central door is framed by a square-cut surround.
To the left of the door, there are later window openings, while the first floor has two 2-light mullion windows, one of which has had its mullion removed. The roof is punctuated by two ridge chimney stacks. At the rear, there is a 4-light basement window, a 5-light and a 4-light window on the ground floor, and two 4-light windows on the first floor. All these windows feature cavetto-moulded mullions, although the ground floor windows are recessed and have a total of three missing mullions. The left gable and the later addition include 1, 2, and 3-light mullion windows, with one window having lost its mullions.
