Description

No. 13 The Shaws is a cottage dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has one bay and two storeys, with quoins at the corners. The ground floor includes a six-light recessed flat-faced mullion window, while the first floor has a four-light window. The gable door is framed with a dressed surround, and there are two two-light windows on the gable ends. A gable chimney stack has been rebuilt in brick. The rear of the cottage adjoins another house.
