Description
Ballgrove is a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The buildings are designed as a 2-bay, 3-storey structure with an entrance wing on the left and a lean-to at the rear. Quoins are present on the ground and first floors. The central door, which is now blocked, has a square-cut stone surround. The ground floor includes 5 and 6-light windows, while the first floor has four 3-light windows. A workshop was added later to the second storey, which has a 14-light window. All windows have recessed flat-faced stone mullions, and there are gable chimney stacks along with 2, 3, and 4-light windows on the gable and rear.
