Description

A house and cottage, dating from the late 18th century with later additions. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone, with a graduated stone slate roof. The original house is a 1-bay, 3-storey structure, to which a 20th-century lean-to has been added on the left, and an early 19th-century 2-storey addition forms the cottage on the right. Quoins are present. The main entrance door has a dressed stone surround, though this is currently obscured by a 20th-century porch. The cottage has 2-light and 3-light windows on the front elevation. The rear elevation features 3-light windows on the cottage and 6-light windows on each floor of the original house. All rear windows have recessed, flat-faced stone mullions. A gable chimney stack is visible.
