Description

The L-shaped barn at Penketh Hall dates from around 1820. It is constructed of brown brick and features a gabled grey slate roof. The barn has boarded double doors in three large openings, each with segmental relieving arches above timber lintels and sandstone hinge blocks. Diamond-shaped vents are also present.

Inside, the barn has fishbone kingpost trusses with unsawn oak purlins. The attached shippon is not included in the listing. The barn is recognized for its group value only.
