Description
The barn to the right of Pennington Hall is likely from the 17th century, although the upper part was rebuilt in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick, featuring some stone quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The barn has diamond pattern ventilation holes and buttresses on either side of an elliptical-headed entrance with doors. There is a similar entrance at the rear and a lean-to cow-house attached. Inside, the barn contains two cross walls with high round-headed openings and a fish-bone truss made of hewn members. Additionally, there is a later lean-to outshut on the right return.
