2/5 Rock Farmhouse

GV II Farmhouse, probably late C18, altered. Brown brick, in Flemish bond with pale headers to front; grey slate roof. 2 storeys; L-shaped with projecting gable, left. The main wing is of 3 windows; the central lower window is a 2-light Gothick casement under gauged brick depressed-arch head; other lower windows altered; gabled half-dormer, right, has small-pane casement with semi-circular radial-bar top; left dormer altered. Brick ridge chimney. The cross-wing has 2 openings with depressed gauged-brick arches to each storey, the lower ones blocked; the upper ones contain replaced 2-pane casements. Flush gable chimney. Inner face of cross-wing has boarded door in arched Gothick opening of brick, lower window of 6 panes under depressed gauged-brick arch; gabled half-dormer above doorway contains small-pane casement with semi-circular radial-bar top. The rear is altered, in keeping. Interior not inspected.
