Description
Millhey Farmhouse is a farmhouse, probably dating from the early 17th century, that has been altered over time. It features oak small framing in the 1½ storey cross-wing on the left. The central wing, which is 1½ storeys tall and consists of two rooms, is made of brick and painted to resemble timber framing, likely built in the 18th century or early 19th century. There is also a small 1-storey right wing from the 19th century. The roofs are steep and covered with grey slate. The paired principal rafters on the gable of the cross-wing indicate that the roof was raised by about 0.5 metres, probably in the 18th century. The windows are small-pane casements, and the doors are made of softwood and boarded. A ridge chimney is present. Inside, the front room of the cross-wing has a chamfered oak main beam, while the rear room features a stopped ovolo main beam of oak.
