Description
The former farm building or cottage at Cock of Barton Inn dates from the late 17th century and was partly rebuilt in the 19th century. It features oak small framing at the front and an oak frame at the rear without an intermediate cross-rail. The gable ends are made of brick, and the building has a steeply pitched grey slate roof. Notable architectural features include an arched boarded loading door made of oak in the upper storey, a replaced door in a similar opening in the lower storey, and a gabled half-dormer at the rear. There is also a flush brick chimney on the right gable. This building is listed for its group value context.
