Description
Green Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century that has been significantly enlarged. It features a brick nogged timber frame and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall with four window bays, including an added bay on the west side. There are also extensive modern additions at the rear, to the north of the added bay. The cottage has small framing with passing braces at the ground sill and angle braces at the wallplate. The entrance has a replacement oak door divided into vertical panels. On the ground floor, there are two small hexagonal bays and replaced mullion windows, all featuring leaded glazing. The first floor includes two windows in the gable ends and two in half dormers, all adorned with barge boards and finials. Inside, the cottage boasts ovolo moulded beams and exposed joists, with timbers visible in the internal walls.
