Description

Oakhurst is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with a brick-nogged timber frame and has a tiled roof. The cottage is two storeys high with three window bays. The timbers are arranged in a small framing pattern at the front and rear. A small gabled timber porch with a replaced entrance door is present. The casement windows have been replaced with windows containing glazing bars. The west gable is rendered, and there is a single-storey addition to the east gable. A central chimney stack is a prominent feature. The interior of the original east gable wall features exposed timbers, including ovolo moulded and bevelled beams, and exposed ceiling joists.
