Description

The Old House is a cottage from the early 17th century, featuring plastered, brick nogged timber framing and brickwork, topped with a roof of large slates. The building has two storeys and consists of three bays, including an added brick bay on the north side. There is a two-bay brick rear wing on the east, creating a "T" shaped plan. The facade displays small framing timbers, and the original casement windows have been replaced with ones that include glazing bars. The cottage has no front entrance and features gable bargeboards with finials and a central stack. Inside, there are bevelled beams and exposed joists. The building is listed for its group value only.
