Description

Church Minshull Bridge is a road bridge over the River Weaver, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from yellow sandstone ashlar and features two arches, along with four stepped weathered diamond-shaped cut waters. The bridge has deep flush one-ring gauge arches and a slightly projecting carriageway arch. There are five piers that project on either side, dividing the solid parapet into four panels. The coping of the parapet is flat with chamfered edges and ramps down slightly to the outer piers on each side.
