Description
Radbrook Cottage is a cottage dating from 1617, with later alterations and additions. It features a brick nogged timber frame and a slate roof, and is a single storey with an attic, comprising four window bays. The small framing is present on all faces, with angle braces. The original ledged and boarded door has been replaced with a new one that has false strap hinges hung on HL hinges. The cottage also has replaced flush casements with glazing bars, including a single first floor window in the central half dormer. At the rear (south) is a modern 20th-century wing. Inside, there are bevelled beams and exposed joists, ledged and battened doors, one of which is on HL hinges, located at first floor level. The cottage staircase and some original wide oak boards are also present.
