Description
Green Farm House is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the mid 17th century, although it has an appearance from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features an old slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and consists of three bays, with a rear wing that completes a "T" shaped plan. The entrance includes a six-panel partly glazed door set in a pilastered doorcase, topped with a radial bar fanlight and an open pediment. The windows are two-and-three-light flush casements with flat cambered arches, and there is an original recessed sash window with glazing bars located at the rear. A brick dentil course runs along the eaves, and the house has bargeboards and gable-end stacks. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered beams and exposed ceiling joists, along with large bevelled beams in the rear wing. The doors are four-panelled and boarded.
