Description
The Cottage is a building originally comprising two cottages from the late 17th century, now converted into a single dwelling. It features a brick nogged timber frame with a slate roof and is a single storey with an attic, consisting of three window bays. The timbers are primarily located in the east gable, showcasing small framing with passing braces. There are two boarded doors situated under a continuous monopitch porch roof, which has brick side cheeks and a central support post. The windows are flush casements with a single glazing bar, and there is one window at the first floor level in a gabled half dormer that includes barge boards. The gables and gable end stacks also have barge boards. Inside, the building retains exposed beams and ceiling joists.
