Description
White Lion Cottages, located on Radway Green Road in Barthomley, is a building from the early 17th century that has been converted from a single cottage into two separate dwellings. The structure features a brick nogged timber frame and a tiled roof, and is a single storey with an attic, consisting of two window bays. The facade displays symmetrical timber framing, although this is now limited to the front. The doors are ledged and battened, equipped with false strap hinges, and are positioned under gabled hoods near the gables. The ground floor has replaced casements, while the first floor features a single three-light casement in a central gabled dormer with barge boards. A central stack is present, along with blue brick plinths, brick gables, and a 20th-century brick lean-to at the rear. Inside, there is a bevelled beam. The building is listed for its group value only.
