Description
Church Bank is a cottage built in 1708, as indicated by a plaque in the dormer. It features brick construction with planted timbers and a gabled tile roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, which includes a front gable and a large blank bay on the east side. A rear addition to the south creates an "L" shaped plan with the main block. There is a gabled porch attached to a small lean-to, which has flanking lattice wing lights. The gabled dormer contains a three-light twin mullion and transom casement, along with a barge board. Another dormer on the east side of the gable bay has a lead apex plaque with the letters HRM and the date. The cottage has planted timbers in a small framing style above a brick plinth and features chimneys with separated diagonal flues. It is listed for its group value only.
