Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the late 19th century. The building features timber framing and red brick, topped with a tile roof. It stands two storeys high and consists of three bays, with an additional two-bay wing to the north. The original timber-framed porch has been replaced and now includes carved barge boards and a finial, along with a framed, ledged, and battened door fitted with strap hinges. The ground floor has three-light mullioned lozenge windows, which are flanked by brick pilasters and jettied on brackets, while the first floor features similar windows set in a planted timber frame. The added wing has three-light casements with glazing bars and cambered arches, also in a planted timber frame at the first floor level. A window on the north side of the first floor is located in a gable facade. Some original timber framing is visible high in the original gables and at the rear of the building. Inside, there are some ovolo moulded beams.
