Description
Rose Cottages are a pair of cottages built around 1870 as part of the Peckforton Estate. They are constructed from red brick with a tiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high and each has two bays. Each cottage has a boarded door set within a Tudor-arched opening, which is panelled vertically with cover fillets and strap hinges. The first-floor windows are 2- and 3-light casements with hexagonal panes, set beneath timbered and plastered gables. The gables have wide overhanging verges with finials. A large central brick stack rises from a weathered ridge level band, featuring pointed pilasters and a heavy overhanging cap.
